Who's behind it
Gavin Alexander
Founder
Gavin has been part of UK music since 1998. He started as an MC and worked across genres: club residencies, appearances across the UK, festivals, pirate radio and features on national radio. He launched his own club night, Trendsetter, which grew into a streetwear brand, merchandise and a record label, Trendsetter4Life, supporting other artists and teaching him how to build something from the ground up.
In 2005 he picked up a camera. He shot for SBTV and GRM Daily, filmed tour blogs for Maverick Sabre and Boy Better Know, and worked closely with Frisco of Boy Better Know on documentaries, music videos and his website. He helped artists get paid properly for features and find opportunities abroad, and his own debut album, Battle Scars (2018), released on Trendsetter4Life, charted on the iTunes and download charts.
He then spent nearly ten years in growth marketing, revenue operations and automation in fintech and startups, and brings that way of working back to artists who've never had it. Music Artist Manager started as Music Artist Planner, downloaded by hundreds of artists. It's built on one idea: he is one of you, and he knows the job.
